Brian De Luna

Brian DeLuna currently works in Vienna and has taught as a Architecture Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is the founder and co-principal of Parabol, an interdisciplinary design firm operating in New York and Vienna. Prior work experience includes teaching at Princeton University; assistant to Hani Rashid; and conducting several workshops throughout the United States focusing on Digital Design and Visualization.

Brian gained professional experience working for international architecture firms including Xefirotarch and Asymptote Architecture where he supervised a wide range of high profile projects as a senior designer. He led many notable competitions at Asymptote including; the Four Rivers Pavilion which was completed in 2012; Dubai Pearl where Asymptote received first place and Kaohsiung Marine Gateway, a two phase open competition in which Asymptote received second place. Brian was also a design team member on other notable projects such as the Yas Hotel and the Strata Tower. Additionally, Brian also worked on smaller scale projects including product design and installations for Phillips de Pury and Mallet/Meta Antiques.

Brian holds a Bachelor of architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture(Sciarc) and his Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design degree from Columbia University.
