Indre Umbrasaite is a lithuanian architect, for the past few years living and working in Austria. She joined the Institute of Architecture as Assistant Professor in the Studio Kazuyo Sejima in 2015.
Indre studied architecture at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where she graduated from the master class of Zaha Hadid.
Prior to that, she completed the National M.K. Ciurlionis School of Art and studied history of culture and anthropology at the Vilnius University, as well as interior design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Lithuania and Lahti University of Applied Science, Finland.
Indre gained her professional experience while working and collaborating with several offices in Vilnius, Salzburg and Vienna. Her work range encompasses from interior designs to residential, office, commercial and infrastructural projects, with responsibilities from conceptual to execution phase.
Latest work includes urban development studies for the city of Vienna, as well as a large scale mixed use and housing project along with a concept design for temporary living forms.
