Jose Carlos Lopez Cervantes
Jose is currently working and teaching in Vienna and Innsbruck. He studied his master’s degree of Architecture at the University of Granada, Spain. He holds a Master of Science MSc from Urban Strategies Postgraduate Program “Excessive” from The University of Applied Arts Vienna and he is currently PhD candidate and Teaching and Research Associate at the Institute of Urban Design, University of Innsbruck.
He has been teaching at the Postgraduate Program of the University of Applied Arts Vienna (2010-2015), Institute for Advance Architecture of Catalonia (Iaac) (Spain), School of Architecture Technological University (LTH) Lund (Sweden), the University of Granada (Spain), and the Städelschule Architecture Class (SAC) (Frankfurt).
He was Project Architect at Coop Himmelblau and he is co-founder of the atelier studio Soqotra. His work has been exhibited at the Neue Galerie at Joanneum museum (Graz 2011), Austrian Pavilion at Venice Biennale (Venice 2010) and the Official Chamber of Architects (Granada 2006).
Since fall 2016 he is as a member of the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts, Studio Rashid.
